Most of Northampton’s restaurants have beer, wine and/or a full bar.  However, if you are looking for libations alone, these are my recommendations.

Dirty Truth  Draft and bottled beers from around the globe can be found here. Ask for a sample taste [or 3] before you commit to your draft brew. Nice eclectic menu of bar foods as well as brunch on the weekends. Check the art that rotates and hangs inside as well.

Tunnel Bar  Martini Heaven located in the old train depot. Inside you will find a dark atmosphere with lots of comfy, leather chairs and a small bar if you prefer to watch the bartender make drinks.

Just down Strong Street on the left side, along the stone wall. You are there when you reach the arch and double wood doors.   413-586-5366

Bishop’s Lounge  Bar with live music and a small dance floor.  Check the schedule to see whose playing.  Music usually starts later-after 10pm sometimes and there might be a small cover charge.

Wiggins Tavern   Step back in time, 200 years and enjoy the atmosphere, food and libations. This is a great place to cozy-up in the wintertime. Dinner served daily and Sunday brunch as well.
